Your account

You need an account with a valid email address to use uSage. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

Subscription and billing

uSage is a subscription service costing US$2 per month. Subscriptions purchased on Google Play or the App Store are billed by that store and renew automatically each month until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through, under its refund policy.

Prices may change. We will tell you before any change affects a renewal, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue.

Your content

EPUB files you upload, along with your highlights, notes and vocabulary, remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and sync that content so the app can work for you.

You must have the right to use any book you upload. Do not upload files that are pirated or that you are not licensed to hold. We do not read, publish or share your library with other users.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, and do not use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Translations and definitions

Translations, definitions and usage notes are generated by an AI provider (Groq) and can be wrong or incomplete. Treat them as a study aid, not an authoritative reference.

Availability and changes

We work to keep uSage running, but the service is provided as is, without warranties, and may occasionally be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, which removes your data as described in our privacy policy. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
